Despite UN resolutions calling for tougher sanctions on the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, there are 36 Iranian Shiite institutions that circumvent those decisions to work to support the Houthis and transfer funds for the continuation of the war.
Diplomatic sources and documents revealed that these Iranian associations located in London are in the process of financing and providing the Houthis with Iranian funds, taking advantage of their presence in Britain to be a back-end station to deliver Iranian support and funding to the Houthis, among them the most prominent of which is the International Islamic Ahl al-Bayt Association headed by the so-called Muhammad al-Musawi, an Iranian national.
The sources pointed out that the Iranian Shiite associations supported by Tehran are exploiting their presence in London, circumventing international decisions, as a humanitarian matter, and under the item of food aid for those affected by the war, and transferred about $ 40 million to the Houthis.
The sources confirmed that these associations allocated food aid to the families of the Houthi wounded and dead, at a rate of $ 150 per person per month; however, the real amount amounting to 20 thousand Yemeni riyals, equivalent to only $ 33, while the rest of the amount goes to the pockets and accounts of Houthi leaders
Sources from within the Houthi group (refusing to disclose themselves for fear of killing) said that the Houthi militia has appointed personalities from the Al-Washali and Al-Shami families to supervise and distribute those funds after deducting the sums of money for the Houthi leaders, and to transfer the amount ($ 33) to selected families with bias Completely according to what the documented pictures of the aid distribution process show from those Shiite organizations and institutions, most notably the Al-Bayt Association
